Take A New View.

by Cathy Paper Bottern on October 16th, 2009

This photo was taken last year. As I drove by today I thought that the view is still amazing. And the blog post still holds true. Sometimes you have to go up really high to gain perspective on what is right in front of you. I'm at the top of the Fire Tower off of Mille Lacs Lake in Northern Minnesota this past Fall. It was way up high, almost 144 steps into the sky, that I saw what I was missing. The full 360 degree view of my life. I had been looking just at a few sections at a time and had forgotten how it all fits together. It was in these few minutes way up high that I knew the bigger view of my life was spectacular. Sometimes when I get too close to a situation I can't see what is really going on. It just looks like a bunch of trees instead of a vast ocean of colors. Those fire tower stairs up towards the sky gave me perspective and now I have the whole picture. And, it's spectacular.
