Celebrate the good stuff

Why is it so much easier to celebrate the good stuff with other people and yet when you are struggling so often our tendency is to retreat. Through the years of running my own business I have come to rely on the power of the network to get me re-invigorated when times are tough.

It’s kind of like a workout class in person, so much easier. Can you relate?

I was recently at my son’s college graduation, go Eric Bottern, and it was clear to me that the tent was electric. Despite being 50 degrees and many of the families wearing down jackets it was powerful to see everyone so excited for what was coming next and to acknowledge the milestone acheived.

The speaker, Arthur Blank, talked about building a network and that it begins in college and in your work career. He also spoke of taking risks. It was a good reminder that the people around you are part of the journey and important.
